Jake's Pizza
Trying out a new pizza place? Count me in! I recently visited Jake's Pizza to get the lowdown on what they offer. With over 40 years of dishing out pizzas, Jake's Pizza has become well-known spot in Green Bay. Let's see if the buzz is justified—I'm always ready for a pizza adventure!
Stepping into Jake's Pizza is a unique experience. The restaurant has a cool vibe, giving off a sense of history and character. Metal tiles adorn the ceilings and walls, providing a visually pleasing atmosphere with lots to catch your eye.
If you're looking for a quick pizza fix, Jake's may not be your go-to place. According to their menu, the expected cook time for a 14-inch pizza is 45 minutes. As the night gets busier, expect a longer wait. Keep in mind that their closing hours might vary based on how busy they are, with ovens shutting off a bit before closing time.
Now, onto the pizza! The crust style is something special—almost like a pan style but with a thin crust twist. It's a unique experience that's hard to describe, but I've never had anything quite like it. However, the pizza did have a downside for me—the sauce. We ordered cheesy breadsticks with the traditional pizza sauce, and to our surprise, it had a distinct taste. After a few bites, we realized it had a chili flavor. Whether it's chili powder or another secret ingredient, the chili taste threw me off. I like chili, but not on my pizza!

Overall, Jake's Pizza is a cool place to check out, but I'm not sure if it's a regular spot for me. With fantastic pizza joints like Rustique Pizzeria and Sammy's Pizza around, I might choose to dine there unless I'm in the mood for chili-flavored pizza.
