Nicolet Café is a nice little cafe located in downtown De Pere. Known for their dishes involving their fresh bread, baked daily in house, Nicolet Café prides themselves on serving high quality dishes for a family friendly price. Not in the mood for breakfast, but needing some java to get your day started? Nicolet Café also has a coffee bar located inside, serving premium coffee. They have a nice variety of options on their menu, without seeming too daunting.
What to expect:
Honestly, one of the worst parking lot setups I've encountered. I despise their parking lot setup. If you go, I suggest parking on the street and walking to the café. Mix this parking lot setup with the one-way rounds of downtown De Pere, it makes for an annoyance to get there for me. With that being said, their food didn’t disappoint. Their homemade bread really makes their food dishes stand out. I ordered French toast with a side of toast (carbs on carbs on carbs!). The homemade bread made that dish really enjoyable. With that being said, I was bummed that they didn’t offer a flavored creamer with their coffee, which is such a first world problem, I know. All in all, my experience at Nicolet Café was quite enjoyable, however, I don’t know that Nicolet Café would be my first choice of places to go.
