FIRENZA PIZZA

Are you familiar with Subway?  Odds are you've heard of it.  Well, this is the Subway of pizza places.  This isn't a Green Bay only restaurant, there are around 25 locations throughout the entire USA.  Their pizzas are baked in a 450-500 degree oven, creating a crispy/crunchy crust.  Firenza is almost like a quick grab pizza joint, but not fast food.

 

What to expect:

Like I stated above, Firenza is the Subway of pizza spots.  I mean this in a good and bad way.  You go up, start with what crust you want, then select the sauce, and finish with the ingredients.  If you're doing an individual pizza you get to choose as many toppings on there as you'd like.  Then, once your creation is completed, they'll throw it in the oven for you.

 

To me, you're paying a premium for a meh pizza.  I wasn't a huge fan of the crust, which can make or break a pizza.  I was hoping their cooking style would impact the crust, but it just seemed like a normal/basic crust.  In my opinion, you're far better off going to Rustique for a pizza than eating at Firenza.  The only way I could see this place being worth it is if you're planning on loading up your pie with tons of different toppings.
